About the Opportunity 

We are recruiting on behalf of a privately held multifamily ownership group seeking a Regional Property Manager to oversee apartment communities throughout Austintown and nearby Northeast Ohio markets. This role provides direct leadership of multiple properties with a strong focus on occupancy, resident experience, budgeting, and overall operational performance. 

This is a field-based leadership position working closely with on-site Property Managers and Maintenance teams. The client is responsive, realistic, and moves decisively when the right candidate is identified. 

Important Requirements 

  • Candidates must live within a 40-minute radius of Youngstown, OH 
  • Prior multifamily property management experience is required 
  • Client is not considering candidates from nursing home, assisted living, or public housing authority backgrounds
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for travel between properties 

What You’ll Own 

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across several apartment communities 
  • Drive leasing performance, resident retention, and economic occupancy 
  • Partner closely with onsite Property Managers and Maintenance leaders 
  • Ensure communities are market-ready, well-maintained, and resident-focused 
  • Monitor budgets, expenses, rent performance, and loss-to-lease 
  • Review weekly operational, leasing, and financial reporting 
  • Support marketing efforts and local outreach to maintain strong demand 
  • Handle escalated resident issues and model exceptional customer service 
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and coaching 
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing and applicable regulations 

What You’ll Bring 

  • Proven background leading residential apartment communities 
  • Experience managing occupancy, budgets, and on-site teams 
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills 
  • Working knowledge of Fair Housing and landlord-tenant regulations 
  • Experience using property management systems (Yardi experience a plus) 
  • Ability to balance field presence with administrative oversight 
  • Flexibility for occasional Saturday coverage when required
